Council agrees deal for new operator at leisure centres

Leisure centres in Wyre will have a new operator from next April.
Wyre Council has confirmed Parkwood Leisure has been appointed as the new company responsible for the borough's centres in Fleetwood, Garstang, Poulton and Thornton following an extensive and competitive procurement process.
The company will take over from the management of the centres on April 1 from YMCA Fylde Coast, which has operated them for 20 years.
The decision was approved by Wyre's Cabinet after Parkwood Leisure achieved the highest overall score during the evaluation process.
