Back to Front: Lee Cobbs captures the unseen rhythms of Blackpool

Back to Front, the first solo exhibition by photographer Lee Cobbs, opened on the first Monday of October and will remain on view until the end of November.

The opening night at Tea Amantes - Tearoom & Gallery drew an enthusiastic crowd friends, fellow creatives, and regular participants of the monthly photo walks Lee co-leads in Blackpool with Stan Crook and Kenny McRea. Although Cobbs is not based in the town, Blackpool has long fascinated him. He returns regularly with his camera, drawn not to the flashy attractions but to the quiet pulse of streets often passed by unnoticed.

"Blackpool has the tower, the fairground, three piers, a huge promenade, long beaches, a bustling centre, the Winter Gardens... and I chose the forgotten streets behind all of this," Cobbs reflects.
