New chapter with Blues excites Juke

LUKAS Jutkiewicz will join Blues’ recruitment team in the newly- created role of first-team positional lead scout.

Jutkiewicz retired from playing in May after nine years battling burly central defenders in Royal Blue.

The 36-year-old played 358 matches for Blues and scored 69 goals, with his last coming in the 6-2 win over Barnsley at St Andrew’s in April.

Jutkiewicz will now join Craig Gardner's recruitment team in a role which, according to the club, “requires a hybrid approach to scouting, combining attendance at fixtures with video analysis to prepare detailed player reports. Utilising data, video and real-world reporting, Jutkiewicz will create holistic evaluations of potential player acquisitions”.
