Giant station mural to celebrate Black Sabbath

WORK has begun on a giant 120ft feature on a wall outside Birmingham New Street station.

The giant mural is being painted on Navigation Street to mark Black Sabbath’s final concert, scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 5.

The huge piece of art will feature the four members of Black Sabbath - Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler - all of whom are expected to perform together for the last time at Villa Park Stadium this summer.

'Mr Murals' is the artist behind the feature, known for his hyper realistic, detailed work. Among his most iconic attractions on display in the city is the Peaky Blinders painting down at the Digbeth Loc. Studios.
