Rapist had record for attack on No.47 bus

A BIRMINGHAM crook nicknamed ‘Shotty’ has been jailed for more than ten years for rape - but it is not the first time he has been handed a lengthy prison sentence.

In August 2011, a then 25-year-old Toray Douglas carried out a brutal attack on a bus passenger.

He and an 18-year-old accomplice boarded the No.47 and went to the upper deck.

As the bus travelled along Pershore Road, towards Cotteridge, the drunken pair approached a 47-year-old man and then demanded his £300 gold chain, which they ripped from his neck.

They then attacked the victim, who tried to escape, only for Douglas to jump over some seats and rails and kick him in the face with both feet.

He also stamped on the man, who was left bloodied and with a broken jaw.
