PC tells of the moment he helped save toddler's life

A POLICE officer has told of the lasting impact of saving the life of a three-year-old in her home.

PC Simon Thomas was first on the scene with his colleague PC George Morrison when the tot had a cardiac arrest in Chadsmoor in the early hours of July 10.

The officers, based in Cannock, rushed to the scene after the family of the toddler called Porsche called 999.

After racing to the house, PC Thomas began CPR while PC Morrison checked for a pulse.

After a few minutes, the officers suspected something might be blocking Porsche’s airways and moved her on her side to keep them clear.
