A MAN has told how he was diagnosed with prostate cancer after a friend noticed he was dashing to the loo more often.

Stuart Burgess had already watched his dad die of the disease just a few years before he was told he had it himself.

The 61-year-old, from Wolverhampton, picked up a leaflet about the condition back in August 2019, and when his friend noticed he was peeing all the time, decided to see a doctor.

"My prostate cancer diagnosis was sheer luck," the dad said. "I happened to pick up a Prostate Cancer UK leaflet, and when I was reading it I remembered my mate had mentioned that I was going for a pee more often.
