FORMER Aston Villa goalkeeper Jed Steer has confirmed his decision to retire from professional football at the age of 33.
FORMER Aston Villa goalkeeper Jed Steer has confirmed his decision to retire from professional football at the age of 33.
The goalkeeper had been without a club since the end of last season, after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with Peterborough United.
Steer spent 10 years as a Villa player, and fans had the chance to pay tribute to him at Villa Park during the final Premier League game of the 2022/23 season against Brighton.
