'Heinous' killer's final insult towards family of 'precious' teenager
Birmingham Mail
|September 16, 2025
A KILLER teenager yelled "I'm still breathing" as he and his two younger accomplices were jailed for murdering a 17-year-old boy in a vape shop.

Reuben Higgins was stabbed to death inside Vape Minimarket in Marston Green, Solihull, shortly after 6pm on October 29 last year.
Moments earlier he had been confronted by four males and accused of threatening one of them with a knife on a previous occasion, a claim for which there was no evidence.
Reuben refused their request to go around the corner with them, prompting the group to reach for their waistbands and chase him.
He ran into the vape shop and lay down behind the front door in an attempt to barricade it, but the assailants forced their way inside and attacked him. Reuben suffered four stab wounds including a fatal blow to the heart, and died at the scene.
Following a trial, Abdurrahman Summers, aged 19, of Yardley, along with two 16-year-old boys, were found guilty of murder.
Yesterday, at Birmingham Crown Court, all three were sentenced to life.
A fourth suspect, who is believed to have initiated the confrontation and delivered the fatal blow, remains at large.
