EMI Martinez's father has revealed that the Aston Villa goalkeeper could eventually retire at his boyhood club, Independiente.

The Argentina number one's future at Villa is uncertain this summer, with a potential move to Juventus on the horizon if the two clubs can reach an agreement in the coming weeks.

Martinez has spent six years at Villa Park after joining from Arsenal following his FA Cup success with the Gunners. During his time at the club, he has established himself as a Villa legend, notably helping the team win the Europa League.
