WEST MIDLANDS TOP COP CREDITS NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICE WITH FALL
WEST Midlands top cop Craig Guildford has hailed a drop in total crime across the region with four areas in particular seeing a dip.
Figures from the force revealed crime across the region dropped between July 2024 and June 2025, compared with the previous 12 months.
Chief Constable Mr Guildford credited “significant changes” to how communities are policed and confirmed that vehicle crime, burglary, robbery and knife crime have all seen ‘significant’ reductions.
The numbers account for the crimes that are reported to the police and show a six per cent drop in reported crime across the region.
