Diakite loving life at Baggies with new deal

MIDFIELDER Ousmane Diakite has described how he overcame a tough early adaptation to English football after he put pen to paper on a new three-year contract with Albion.

The Malian midfielder, pictured, went from strength to strength throughout the 2025/26 season, ending the campaign as a mainstay in the team during the crucial ten-game unbeaten run under James Morrison.

Since arriving from Austrian side TSV Hartberg in 2024, he has made 63 appearances for the Baggies and opened his goalscoring account on Boxing Day last year.
