Cillian tipped as next Bond villain

PEAKY Blinders star Cillian Murphy has emerged as the top contender for the role of the next James Bond villain.

Murphy, who plays gang leader Tommy Shelby in the hit show and was the villainous Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan’s first caped crusader movie Batman Begins, has emerged as favourite for 007’s nemesis in the new movie.

With the Bond screenplay to be penned for Amazon MGM Studios by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, it would be a logical move for him to want someone he’s previously worked with in a key role.
