BLUES and Wrexham have been backed to 'take the Championship by storm' next season.
Blues enjoyed a record-breaking League One campaign, finishing on 111 points, as Chris Davies' side claimed the title by some distance.
Wrexham were runners-up, a staggering 19 points behind the champions. Nevertheless, the Hollywood-backed club continued their fairytale rise through the divisions under film star owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney with a third successive promotion.
Both sides will enter the Championship with lucrative budgets at their disposal, hoping to continue their progression, and that should make the 2025/26 season ultra-competitive.
Portsmouth chief executive Andrew Cullen has acknowledged the threat the newcomers will pose.
