ASTON Villa legend Gareth Barry has given his thoughts on the club's transfer business so far this summer... and believes one Englishman could be the key to bolstering Unai Emery’s attack.

The lack of big name reinforcements has not gone unnoticed by Villa fans.

Despite the loss of loan duo Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford, the club have yet to bring in replacements with the new season less than a month away.

Although the latest rumours seem to suggest Ollie Watkins will stay at Villa Park, despite links with Manchester United and Arsenal, if Unai Emery wants his team to impress again next season he'll need some fresh legs to keep the goals coming.

Speaking to Gambling.com, former Villa skipper Barry said: "I think they're going to miss the attacking threat they had last year with [Marco] Asencio and [Marcus] Rashford.
