WARNINGS, FINES AND POINTS ON LICENSES AFTER ‘OPERATION SNAP
SOME of the Midlands’ worst drivers have been given ‘instant bans’ after being shopped in by other road users.
Warning letters, fines and penalty points have also been dished out to those who were seen to break the rules of the road.
Thousands of people have captured driving offences on their dashcams and sent the footage to West Midlands Police as part of Operation Snap.
The road safety scheme encourages people to send footage to police if it clearly shows instances of dangerous driving, use of mobile phone, failure to stop at a red traffic light or any other offence where the driver was not in proper control of the vehicle.
