Amadou admits the heat is on as boss dials it up

Unai Emery’s squad have been put through their paces in the sweltering Tennessee heat, either side of their first USA preseason friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt in Louisville, Kentucky.

Among them is Amadou Onana, who impressed during the second half of the 2-2 draw with Frankfurt and will be looking to build on a strong summer.

“It was really good - not easy - but really good,’ said the Belgian of the match on Saturday. “I missed football, and I missed being out there with the boys. It was a very good feeling playing football again”

Nashville has been under a heat advisory in recent days, with highs reaching around 37 degrees celsius.
