Two foreign suspects taken into custody

Police arrested two foreign nationals in Phuket in separate crackdowns, detaining a French fugitive sought for attempted murder and a German captain over illegal tour operations.
The French national, wanted on an Interpol red notice for attempted murder, was arrested yesterday after allegedly fleeing France and hiding in Rawai.
Immigration officers raided a house in Muang district and detained the 46-year-old suspect following a request from the French embassy in Thailand.
Authorities tracked the man after receiving information that he had entered Thailand and was staying in Phuket. Investigators later confirmed his location at a residence in Rawai. Records showed he entered Thailand on Jan 23 under a visa-free scheme allowing him to stay until March 23.
