Somkid files complaint against Cambodian strongman

Deputy Prime Minister's Secretary Somkid Chueakong has filed a police complaint against Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen for threatening national security and causing division among Thais.
Mr Somkid yesterday submitted the complaint to Pol Lt Gen Trairong Phiewphan, chief of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), regarding a leaked audio recording of a conversation between the veteran Cambodian politician and Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
Mr Somkid, the deputy PM's secretary for political affairs, told the media that the complaint was lodged both personally and as Mr Paetongtarn’s aide, as the 17-minute-long voice recording had caused disagreement among Thais and threatened national security.
