90-day deadline for modelling 'too long'

- POST REPORTERS

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has voiced her growing frustration over the “unacceptably slow” investigation into the collapse of the State Audit Office (SAO) building, which killed at least 86 people and has left eight still missing.

Speaking during her television programme Empowering Thais with PM Paetongtarn on the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) yesterday, the prime minister said she had followed the case since the disaster occurred and had questioned the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning (DPT) under the Interior Ministry over how authorities intended to identify the true cause of the collapse.

She said that reconstruction simulations, involving engineering experts from four universities and the DPT, are underway to help pin it down.
