Patama: Sport pathway for preventing youth crime
Bangkok Post
|November 28, 2025
Thailand has received strong regional support as it hosts the inaugural Southeast Asia Sport and Youth Crime Prevention Conference, an International Olympic Committee (IOC)-assigned initiative aimed at using sport as a tool to deter youth crime and strengthen community safety across Asean.
-
The two-day conference was held for the first time at the Grand Fourwings Hotel in Bangkok. It is part of a new programme jointly launched by the IOC and France's Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) to promote safer and more resilient communities through sport.
