NACC commissioner files suit over bribery claim

A National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) member has filed a complaint against a former police officer over false bribery allegations.
NACC commissioner Ekkawit Watchawalku authorised his legal team to file a complaint against Pol Col Ekphakphum Phitsamai, a former aide to Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn (“Big Joke”), accusing him of making false statements and maliciously implicating others in criminal wrongdoing.
The move follows allegations by Pol Col Ekphakphum that Mr Ekkawit solicited a bribe in the form of gold bars of 246 baht-weight.
