Kingdom pairs sweep through with wins

Mixed doubles pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran stormed into the last 16 of the US$2 million BWF China Open 2025 in Changzhou yesterday.
The fifth-seeded pair cruised past Hee Yong Kai Terry and Jin Yu Jia of Singapore 21-12, 21-11 in just 25 minutes as they chase their sixth career title.
Dechapol and Supissara, runners-up at the Japan Open on Sunday, will play China's Guo Xinwa and Chen Fanghui in the last 16.
Dechapol also reached the second round of the men's doubles after teaming up with Kittinupong Kedren to upset fourth seeds Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark 18-21, 21-19, 21-18.
Another mixed pair, Ruttanapak Oupthong and Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat, also advanced to the last 16.
