Ratchanok rocked in round one in China
-
Kunlavut Vitidsarn survived a scare before moving into the second round of the US$2 million BWF China Open 2025 in Changzhou yesterday.
The world No.1 rallied to overcome the 25th-ranked Alwi Farhan of Indonesia in three games to reach the last 16 of the World Tour Super 1000 event, avoiding a repeat of last week's shock first round exit at the Japan Open.
In the first meeting between the two players, Farhan gave the top seed a real test after taking the opening game before the Thai ace prevailed 10-21, 21-15, 21-18 in 65 minutes.
Kunlavut will play Malaysia's Leong Jun Hao in the last 16 tomorrow.
