Fraud suspect faces grilling over claims of VIP ties

The Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) is summoning Thanyatep Sirithapsadechakul, 32, for questioning after he reportedly claimed to have received legal assistance from the bureau chief with whom he claimed to have close ties.

The suspect reportedly told a number of people, including actress Rinyarat Watchararojsiri, that he had close connections with numerous political bigwigs and high-ranking police officers.
