Firms face probe by DSI over office site collapse

China Railway No.10 Engineering Group, Italian-Thai Development Plc (ITD) and other entities involved in the State Audit Office (SAO) building project, which collapsed during the earthquake late last month, have been summoned by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) for questioning.

Deputy DSI director-general Pol Capt Surawut Rangsai yesterday said investigators are collecting evidence surrounding the collapse, with responsibilities divided between forensic teams and interrogators.

Summonses have been issued for individuals involved in the SAO bidding process. They concern foreign nationals operating businesses through nominees. The representatives are expected to be questioned by the DSI from April 18 to May 15.

Companies under scrutiny include China Railway No.10 Engineering Group and ITD, among others.
