Land saga could be made 'special case'

- POST REPORTERS

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is considering upgrading its probe into irregularities in the issuance of land deeds in Buri Ram's Khao Kradong area into a special case after uncovering evidence that more than 50 rai were unlawfully granted title deeds.

Pol Maj Nathapol Disayatham, director of the DSI's Natural Resources and Environment Litigation Office, said investigators have identified four individuals, both local residents and outsiders, who appear to be linked to the improper issuance of land documents.

He noted that combined with other findings, the evidence may justify the elevation of the probe into a full-fledged special case.
