Cubs rack up 21 hits in 14-1 Marlins rout

Seiya Suzuki hit a two-run homer to cap an eight-run sixth inning, Jameson Taillon tossed seven innings of one-run ball and the visiting Chicago Cubs erupted for a 14-1 win over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday.

Suzuki added a two-run double in the Cubs' five-run ninth inning against position player Javier Sanoja and finished with three hits and four RBIs. Chicago outhit the Marlins 21-6 and won for the sixth time in their last eight games.
Kyle Tucker went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, Nico Hoerner and Michael Busch each drove in two runs and Justin Turner had three hits. Carson Kelly, Dansby Swanson, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Matt Shaw each had two hits. Taillon (3-3) allowed four hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Nick Fortes homered and Kyle Stowers had two hits for Miami, who opened the three-game series with an 8-7 walk-off victory on Monday.
