>>Chile is setting its sights on expanding bilateral trade and investment cooperation with Thailand as well as the wider Asean region, as the two countries mark the 10th anniversary of their Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
Oscar Arriagada, Chile's Trade Commissioner, highlighted these ambitions during a recent interview in Bangkok ahead of the 1st Chile-Asean Business Summit, a flagship event organised by ProChile, an agency under Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The summit will take place from Sept 8-9 in Indonesia and Sept 10-12 in Bangkok, with the goal of strengthening economic ties and promoting new business opportunities across Asean.
