Bangkok Post
|April 09, 2025
Special investigators arrested a close associate of Dr Boon Vanasin, the 86-year-old fugitive founder of Thon Buri Healthcare Group wanted for massive public fraud, at Sriwarinlabhibutr airport on Monday night.
Thitiporn Chalcepatthanaprateep, 39, was detained when she returned to Thailand after fleeing to Reeing. She is the 14th suspect to be arrested in the Covid-19 alleged to be part of the criminal network linked to Dr Boon, who remains at large.
Ms Thitiporn is accused of luring people into investing with Dr. Boon, promising high returns.
However, they received no dividends, and their capital investment was not returned to them. Investigators said there are 605 known victims, with alleged damages of more than 16 billion baht.
