Amata ramps up green energy supplies as demand grows

Industrial estate developer Amata Corporation is stepping up efforts to develop renewable energy, including hydrogen, to serve the growing demand of prospective clients in data centres and smart electronics.

Foreign companies have shown interest in investing in data centres and cloud services — sectors that require renewable energy in line with global sustainability policies, said Satha Vanalabhpatana, Amata's acting chief strategy officer and assistant to the chief executive.

“Amata is conducting a feasibility study into new solar cells, floating solar and hydrogen energy to supply investors who have already acquired industrial land in Amata City Rayong,’ he said.

The company also wants to develop a clean energy supply at Amata City Chon Buri.
