'They chanted all game and it felt like the whole stadium was Aldershot'

GOALSCORING hero Dan Ellison says that it felt like Wembley Stadium was full of Aldershot Town fans on Sunday, writes Michael Reeves.
Around 18,000 supporters donned in red and blue headed to north-west London to see the Shots create history in their 3-0 success over Spennymoor Town to lift the FA Trophy.
Ellison, who is on loan at the EBB Stadium from Bristol Rovers, said the noise those fans made it feel like there was 90,000 in the ground to witness the historic moment.
"They chanted all game and it felt like the whole stadium was Aldershot, that is what we wanted and that is what we got - a sea of Aldershot fans," Ellison said after the game.
