Krooners hit right note with new crest

CAMBERLEY Town have unveiled a new club crest ahead of the 2025-26 Combined Counties League Premier South season.

The club, who finished 16th in the Step 5 Premier South in 2024-25, have vowed to “connect their past to their future” with the design.

Camberley, nicknamed The Krooners, explained in a statement: “It was Friday, July 9, 1920 a four-year-old racehorse called Krooner won the 14.20 at Haydock Park.

“When the 6/1 outsider crossed the finish line, winning by a length and a half, the horse's owner a Mr Ferdinand W Baker, donated all of the winnings to the club to help it purchase a ground.

“Two years on, the aptly-named Krooner Park opened its doors for its first game when Camberley hosted Egham Town. Some 105 years on from the race day, Krooner Park is still our home.
