An employee of the 1,200-bed Civil Hospital, who shot a video exposing irregularity in scrap disposal at the hospital, was removed from duty on Tuesday. The action came after his video went viral.

The video showed brand new items and usable furniture dumped as scrap, reportedly to be sold at lower prices. Not just this, it also exposed the risk of fire due to unsafe use of gas cutters near highly inflammable material.
