Shela area tops AUDA's list of monsoon trouble spots, followed by Tragad underpass and SP Ring Road near Nikol. These areas suffer extensive waterlogging during heavy rains. Hundreds of residential societies, home to lakhs of people, bear the brunt of this recurring problem.

AUDA sources admit they've fallen behind on critical stormwater and lake redevelopment projects. Work originally slated for completion before the monsoon will now stretch beyond September 15, when the rainy season ends.

Shela, despite its booming property market, has struggled with flooding for years. This creates yearly headaches for both residents and developers.
