The city police have developed a comprehensive anti-stampede strategy for Lord Jagannath's 148th Rath Yatra after a deadly stampede at Royal Challengers Bangalore's victory celebration claimed nine lives. The plan maps out potential stampede-prone areas along the procession route using electronic footage. Special measures have been put in place to manage crowds effectively.

"Every precaution has been taken to mitigate risks," said police commissioner G S Malik. "We are fully prepared with a well-thought-out plan to ensure the safety of all during the Rath Yatra."
