Navratri is about colours, music, and devotion—not conmen making money moves. As our city gears up for Navratri, starting September 22, Gujarat Police have sounded a clear warning about fake garba passes.

Scamsters exploit the festival frenzy every year. They pose as event "agents," tempt revellers with cheap deals for premium garba events, then vanish after collecting payment. Most victims discover their passes are fake only at venue gates. Though individual losses may seem small, police say when hundreds fall victim, the sums quickly add up to lakhs of rupees.
