Women to celebrate season's success with friendly fixture
Accrington Observer
|May 09, 2025
ACCRINGTON Stanley Women return to the Wham Stadium this Saturday, as they take on the Isle of Man National Women's Team in a prestigious end-of-season friendly.

Free entry has been announced for the game, which kicks off at 2:30pm, and supporters are being encouraged to join the club to celebrate a successful 2024-5 season, which has seen Stanley Women reach two cup finals and finish second in the league, as well as enjoying the club's best ever FA Cup run.
Saturday's friendly will be refereed by highly rated local official Chelsea Hodgson, who was also in charge the last time Stanley Women faced the Isle of Man National Women's Team, back in 2023. Chelsea, who was recently named LFL referee of the year, has ended the season by officiating four cup finals, as her career continues to go from strength to strength.
