Sacrifices honoured on anniversary of VE Day

PEOPLE gathered together for VE Day across the borough to remember wartime heroes.

Members of the public joined the Mayor of Hyndburn Mike Booth and the Accrington Royal British Legion at Accrington Pals Memorial Garden in Accrington last Thursday to mark the occasion.
Another commemorative day was held last Saturday organised by Accrington Royal British Legion which saw people gather at the Church Street based memorial garden once again.
