THE premises of an award-winning pub could become a day care centre for adults with learning and physical disabilities.
Accrington-based Blue Bird Care have applied for planning permission for the change from a restaurant and bar at The Plough at 2 Broadfield, Oswaldtwistle.
The pub was put on the market in April and in 2024 received an 'England's Business' Award for the best restaurant in Lancashire.
A supporting document submitted with the application says: "This Design and Access Statement has been prepared in support of a planning application for the change of use of the existing Plough Restaurant and Bar to an adult day centre for adults with learning and physical disabilities.
"The proposal includes the installation of a new accessible ramp at the main entrance. No other external alterations are proposed.
