SPORTING HAVE NEW REIGN

BROMSGROVE Sporting could be looking towards a brand new era after being approached by a three-man consortium keen to take over the club.

The move will bring an end to Mike Burke’s near seven-year reign as chairman following his appointment to the role in October 2016.

In his place comes Broms grove -based football administrator Brian Seymour-Smith, who will act as chairman designate and work alongside top former scout Paul Molesworth and local businessman Craig Cotterill.

Molesworth, who has scouted for the likes of Bristol Rovers, Port Vale, Kidderminster Harriers and Walsall, will become director of football at the Victoria Ground, while Cotterill will take on the role of commercial director.
