PROMOTION KING KYLE HAS MORE IN STORER

KYLE Storer is out to bag a late birthday present by NUNEATON BOROUGH going back to the future and securing a return to Step 2 for Nuneaton Borough.

The midfielder, who returned to his hometown club from Solihull Moors in January, turns 36 today, the eve of tomorrow's Southern Premier Central play-off final with Rushall Olympic.

It evokes a number of memories for Storer who burst onto the scene during reformed Nuneaton's ascent through both levels of the Southern League via play-offs in 2009 and 2010.

He was denied a third straight promotion from Conference North in 2011 and joined Kidderminster Harriers that summer, missing Nuneaton's successful second shot at a return to Non-League's top flight but went on to be a cornerstone as his new team pushed Mansfield Town all the way for a place in the Football League in 2013, only to miss out in the playoffs.
