FROM SYSTEMIC BARRIERS TO LIMITED LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, Black Americans face a professional landscape that requires resilience, advocacy and determination. According to studies, Black workers remain underrepresented in high-paying industries while facing higher rates of unemployment compared to other racial groups.

These disparities underscore the need for workplaces that create possibilities for growth and advancement for all. Fortunately, many U.S. companies are stepping up to meet this challenge. Newsweek and data research firm Plant-A Insights Group are proud to present America's Greatest Workplaces for Black Americans 2025. This ranking celebrates 500 organizations across the U.S. committed to fostering environments where Black employees can thrive. These companies have demonstrated exceptional dedication to creating equitable pathways for success. Companies spotlighted this year include Enterprise Car Sales, Henry Ford Health, iTech, JPMorgan Chase, P&G and School Specialty. The study involved an assessment of publicly accessible data, discussions and interviews with HR professionals and large-scale confidential online surveys conducted among employees from U.S. companies. We hope this ranking highlights organizations setting the standard for equity in the workplace and serves as a valuable resource for Black professionals seeking employers that align with their aspirations and values.

Methodology

AMERICA'S GREATEST WORKPLACES for Black Americans 2025 recognizes the greatest workplaces in the United States by their performance in the category of Black Americans.

Our study involved an assessment of publicly accessible data, discussions and interviews with HR professionals and large-scale confidential online surveys conducted among employees from U.S. companies.

For the scoring, only employers that employ more than 1,000 employees were considered.
