IN the competitive higher education landscape of Delhi NCR, where legacy institutions dominate the conversation, Maharaja Surajmal Institute (MSI) has emerged as a quiet but formidable force. Tucked away in the institutional area of Janakpuri in West Delhi, MSI has steadily evolved from a well-regarded regional college into a nationally respected name.

Established in 1999 under the Surajmal Memorial Education Society and affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, MSI's rise wasn't an overnight one. It is the product of long-term planning, academic rigour and a faculty-driven focus on quality. One such example is its flagship Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme, consistently ranked among the best in the country. While strong placement records matter, Dr Neetu Anand, spokesperson of the institute and a BCA faculty member, stresses the real differentiator lies in how students are taught, trained and mentored for “real-world opportunities”.
