ANOTHER DOGFIGHT

The ruling drew sharp criticism from leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and his sister, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, who called the 'blanket removals' cruel and shortsighted. Yet, while one Congress family opposed the move, another was endorsing it-former Union minister and Rajya Sabha MP P. Chidambaram and his son, Lok Sabha MP Karti Chidambaram, who has long campaigned for removing stray dogs from city streets. With the SC now reviewing its own order, it remains to be seen which family's stand prevails.
