FOUR EYES...

...“two on the past and two on the future,” says Lucas Raggi, Chief Industrial Officer, Audemars Piguet, about the brand’s philosophy. We spoke to Raggi about how the brand preserves its core DNA while continuing to stay contemporary.

— 2025 was a big year at Audemars Piguet, with the brand celebrating its 150th anniversary and an exhaustive range of releases that fittingly celebrated this, including models like the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronographs in ceramic, a Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked ‘150th Anniversary’ limited edition, and self-winding perpetual calendars across its Royal Oak line.

In its Code 11.59 collection, the brand introduced a perpetual calendar, Grande Sonnerie Carillon Supersonneries, and a flying tourbillon, among others. This translated into a financially stable year as well, with Audemars Piguet moving up to third position, overtaking Omega, in the 2026 Morgan Stanley LuxeConsult—Ninth Annual Swiss Watcher report. According to the report, the brand sold 53,000 watches worth CHF 2,600 million. However, this success is not new to the brand. Since 2018, Audemars Piguet has been maintaining consistency in luxury watch rankings, always staying in the top five.

The brand has also flagged off 2026 on a strong note. In keeping with its annual tradition of big releases at the start of the year, the Maison unveiled a new jump hour movement. With the Neo Frame Jumping Hour (Ref. 15245OR.OO.D206VE.01), Audemars Piguet has not only introduced a new calibre but also revived its design codes from the 1930s. Inspired by a brand’s timepiece from 1929, internally called pre-model 1271, which in turn borrows from Streamline Moderne, an international Art Deco architectural style from the 1930-40s, the watch features long horizontal lines, rounded corners, and flat surfaces. On the 34 mm rectangular case, there are eight gadroons on each pointed side and aerodynamic lugs.
