NATURE HELPED LIV HEAL AFTER A BATTLE WITH CANCER

After another long spell in hospital, there was one place Olivia Coutts wanted to be. Getting home to the farm she and husband Tim shared, she simply lay on the ground, soaking in the feel of the grass underneath her and the nature all around her.

“In hospital, where there's no fresh air, my body would crave being outside. I'd get home and lie on the ground, even in the middle of winter. I'd feel better. It’s so healing being in nature,” Liv, 47, from Victoria’s Macedon Ranges, tells New Idea.

This was 19 years ago when Liv, as a new mum, was dealing with a large tumour in her liver.
