Rick Nelson epitomized all-American wholesomeness playing the son of his real-life parents in the 1950s-'60s sitcom The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.
He also emerged as a teen idol for singing old-time rock and roll, especially rockabilly, on hits like "Be-Bop Baby" and "Hello Mary Lou." Then in the mid-1960s, Beatlemania swept the United States, and Nelson's music fell out of fashion.
