Rattan Bicycle

"This fabulous life-size bamboo and rattan bicycle was made in the 1980s and appears to be in great condition," says appraiser Bene Raia of Raia Auctioneers. "This and similar life-size rattan pieces, such as a motorcycle and a scooter, were crafted as a form of folk art and used as decorative objects for display in yards and homes." As with much folk art, the original manufacturer is unknown.
