With its punchy colours and rich textures, this Adelaide home’s separate pavilion is all about making summer entertaining so very easy.

A neutral palette creates a perfect backdrop for splashes of bold colour in the living area of this striking Adelaide property. White walls and the muted tones of the stone floors allow the artwork and the furnishings – which range from deep green to vibrant orange – to shine.

The building, a pavilion with two separate spaces, one for the owners and one for their children, is connected to the family’s main residence but also has its own entrance. “The owners enjoy entertaining,” says designer Susanna Bilardo, director of interior design firm Enoki. “They do like to entertain inside their home, but they wanted a fun, lively area they could host parties in the summer that was separate from their main living spaces.”
